Frequently Asked Questions

AT WHAT AGE CAN MY CHILD START TAKING CLASSES?

We start programs at age 2. We offer a diverse schedule of classes for preschool through adults.

WHAT SHOULD MY DANCER WEAR TO CLASS?

Comfortable dancer/activewear that they can move around in. We will send home a confirmation with specific dance wear and or footwear.

WILL MY DANCER PERFORM IN THE YEAR-END GALA PERFORMANCE?

Yes! All our educational classes will have the option to perform at our year-end gala! We believe the performance opportunity is a wonderful showcase of your child’s hard work and effort.

CAN I STAY AND WATCH CLASSES?

No. We are a drop-off/pick-up facility. How do we do it? We have over 200 preschoolers at NEDA! We pride ourselves on being a partner to the local schools. Our job is to help your little dancer build confidence and independence (we have over 31 years of experience!). Let us be the bridge to help your child overcome separation anxiety, feel accomplished, and meet new friends!

IS IT A YEAR-LONG COMMITMENT?

We hope that our dancers will stay and grow with us year after year. But if you ever need to withdraw, just give us notice before the month begins, and we will cancel the registration with no additional fees.

I KNOW OF YOUR REPUTATION, CAN MY CHILD DANCE JUST FOR FUN?

We believe all dance is fun! We have classes for every age and we are committed to providing each student the best education possible in an environment that promotes life and dance skills! You can take a class one hour per week, or study to be the next Miss World of Dance. The best news is that you’ll never need another dance studio because we set the bar high no matter what level!  The options at NEDA are endless!

“On a scale of 1-10, New England Dance Academy is an 11. My daughter is the youngest dancer, starting dance just a week after her second birthday, and the NEDA staff and experience have been more than we could have hoped for. Their communication and professionalism are far superior than most organizations, even beyond the dance world. We are looking forward to watching our daughter grow at NEDA for many years to come!”
